Make-up artist to the stars. The favorite aunt. Dance teacher. Baby sister. Talented musician and song-writer.
Why did that word rank above the rest? Helen loved her family and understood they wanted her to have the real love they’d all found. It’s just that she’d found her someone special and learned to live without him. She’d been too young for the quirky, idealistic doctor-off to save the world-to notice. And, really, if she had it her way, he’d never know how she’d felt. Now, he was one of her best friends, a pen pal, losing him would be too much.
Seeing him at their parents wedding, Helen realizes the horrible truth: she still loves Joseph… which wouldn’t be so bad if she wasn’t in the situation she was in.
But she was. And her secret will change everything.
Will it destroy hope for a Hollywood happy ending too?
The Reviewer's Thoughts.....
A clear story line following the life of a makeup artist, Helen. The story plays around a family wedding, where the girl goes through many emotions - from happiness to a new found love. From fear of having cancer to the fear and exhuberation of pregnancy.
Helen had created a life for herself in which she had kept all men at bay by putting up her penfriend Dr. Joseph as a candidate of her love life. From the age of eighteen, Helen had harbored a crush on this guy. When he left for Africa, she had corresponded with him and had spread everywhere that he was her boyfriend. When Joseph comes back, they fall into an easy friendship which blossoms into a beautiful love story.
From the beginning of the story, Helen has not been feeling well. While she feared that it was breast cancer but after only one night of wild passion, she finds out that she is pregnant. Now, even in this jet age that is impossible J So who could the father be? How does Joseph react to that? Read this beautifully spun tale of love and family ties – Hollywood Homecoming by Sasha Summers.
First of all let me be honest here that I have not read the first two parts so understanding all the characters is not possible. And there is a fine web of characters spun here..! I love the family unity this story portrays. How each member tries to encourage and take care of each other.
My reason of giving a 4 star is because of some unanswered questions … Chris? Why did he give up so easily. Since there were moments in the story where he felt genuine. So digesting that he would give up so easily was a bit hard to digest.
The storyline was simple, easy to follow but I did feel that at some times the characters had it too easy- easy love, easy conflicts and a very easy ending which left me wanting to get to know more about the characters… so here I am again waiting for the next sequel. Was it strategic Sasha? J

Sasha is part gypsy. Born June 9, 1974, stories have always played an important role in her life. Her passions have always been storytelling, Hollywood, history, and travel. It’s no surprise that her books include a little of each. Her first play, ‘Greek Gods and Goddesses’ was written for her Girl Scout troupe. She’s been writing ever since. She loves getting lost in the worlds and characters she creates; even if she frequently forgets to run the dishwasher or wash socks when she’s doing so. Luckily, her four brilliant children and hero-inspiring hubby are super understanding and supportive.
